RPS is celebrating a record-breaking year of growth with the appointment of 12 new full-time employees. With our new customers and an increase in pallet volumes handled, our new employees are here to help make sure RPS continues to take the hassle out of pallets. We are also proud to report that during our last financial year we have increased our turnover by 36.5%.
We have grown both our operational and office teams since May this year, including warehouse operatives, a HGV driver and Data Administrator.
Earlier in the year, RPS collaborated with another UK pallet manufacturer to collect pallets from construction companies in the North East. We created a dedicated construction pallet sorting team to handle the various new pallet specifications from the building sector. Our pallet repair team has also increased with nine new starters since June. One of our operatives, David, has also subsequently passed all of his driving qualifications and is now on the road driving one of our 18te rigid vehicles each week. This demonstrates the success of our Pallet Academy training and development programme which identifies a clear career path for all of our employees.
As we are handling more pallets, we also have more data to handle. We are sending more and more regular reports to our customers and to help manage all of this data, in August we welcomed Lesley to our team as a Data Administrator. She ensures the quick and efficient processing of reports, reconciling and pallet collection analysis.
Along with hiring two additional forklift trucks to cope with our pallet movements, there is plenty happening here at RPS. To make sure our customers have the pallets they need, we keep moving pallets through our depot so that they can be efficiently sorted, inspected and repaired ready for reuse. The additional effort and infrastructure mean our customers are confident that RPS takes the hassle out of pallets for them.
And it doesn’t stop there…..over the coming months, as we continue to grow we will potentially be looking for another member of office staff to become part of our Customer Service team. It’s a very exciting time and we are all extremely proud and looking forward to what 2022 will bring.
