FEFPEB is the leading European industrial association in the field of timber and industrial packaging and wooden pallets. The congress enjoys sponsorship from some of the top names in the European packaging industry, including EPAL, Eireblock and Pooling Partners, the latter of which RPS works with to collect and return pallets to our biggest customer.

The congress meets annually to discuss trends and changes within the industry, such as timber prices, ISPM15 phytosanitary regulations and the demand for scrap wood for biomass due to the EU’s renewable energy targets. This year’s conference considers wooden pallets and packaging in the circular economy and will examine such topics as the EU, innovation and technological developments.

EU lobby

Daniel Guéguen of PACT European Affairs will present the next discussion on the changing circumstance of the European Union and what this means for the wooden pallet trade.

Innovation and technological developments

RPS finds congresses like FEFPEB hugely important to the future of the industry. They provide ample opportunity for leading industry figures to explore trends and other areas of interest with the aim of developing common solutions for European packaging. As a company, we consider it essential to stay up to date with such developments in our industry.

If you’re keen to find out what comes out of the congress, keep your eyes peeled because we’ll be writing a follow up blog after the event.
