Securing the supply of reconditioned pallets

Read All Posts

With the demand for pallets forecast to increase by 1.7 percent year on year, in some countries, how can we ensure we don’t witness a repeat of 2014’s pallet shortfall?

Last year, when timber prices reached new heights, exceeding £150 per cubic meter, the demand for reconditioned pallets increased – businesses naturally wanted to save money.

As a result of this, manufacturing of new pallets fell, subsequently reducing the volume of used (and therefore reconditioned) pallets available – it was a vicious circle.

To add to it, a large number of pallets were being chipped for biomass energy and the demand for reconditioned pallets on the near continent drew them away from UK markets – it was a real struggle.

There is a concern that this could happen again, so what can we do?

RPS help secure pallet supply

Here at RPS, we have developed an innovative solution to the pallet problem, to help secure supply and maintain production of reconditioned pallets.

Work with us and we will…

  • Collect your used pallets
  • Repair the used pallets
  • Return the reconditioned pallets to you ready for use
All of this with no financial risk - you only pay for the reconditioned pallets once they have been returned to your site.

We collect pallets nationwide and continually provide security and supply of pallets whilst helping to reduce your pallet spend.

We have already provided reuse services across several industries including automotive, retail, industrial and packaging. Take a look at some of the results we achieved for our client Huntsman Tioxide back in 2011:
