Today is World Environment Day and we want to celebrate this special day with you.
Run by the United Nations, this year’s theme is ‘Time for Nature’ and thousands across the globe will be marking World Environment Day by learning how all living things on Earth are connected in the web of life.
Nature is all around us and it benefits us in many ways, from helping us to produce food to providing us with raw materials to enable us to build and evolve. We rely on nature for our health, jobs and so much more, which is why we need to take care of it in order for both humans and the planet to thrive.
The United Nations Environment Programme and its supporters have created an extensive list of events to highlight this global day, which feature high level speakers, expert panels, virtual tours, film screenings, music sessions and much more.
