The annual Stokesley Charity Ride returned for its 22nd year on Sunday 12th May and saw 267 riders complete the 30 mile bike ride in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The charity is working towards a brighter future for everyone with cystic fibrosis by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
The ride was challenging, but took participants through the glorious North Yorkshire countryside and villages. It started and ended at Stokesley Town Hall, with some pit stops and the famous steep incline of Clay Bank in between!
We were thrilled to see so many people taking part, including some who have completed every race since the very first in 1998.
This was the sixth consecutive year that we have sponsored the Stokesley Charity Ride which, since its launch in 1998 has raised over £148,000 for several local charities and causes.
The total raised so far this year has reached £4,087 and we will keep you updated throughout the year as we – hopefully - see this figure increase, and of course we will share plans for the 2020 race once they are underway.
