Green-fingered RPS team plants a grove of trees

Last year, RPS celebrated its fifteenth anniversary and to commemorate this milestone, we decided to plant a grove of 15 trees, one for every year we’ve been in business, in the Caledonian Forest.

With its ancient pines and remarkable mountain scenery, the Caledonian Forest is Scotland’s most iconic landscape and we couldn’t think of a better place for our saplings.

With the help of Trees for Life, an award-winning charity which is working to restore Scotland’s Caledonian Forest, we have planted our 15 trees in a remote area of the Scottish Highlands, alongside other young, native trees.

We're hoping our trees will help to transform the open hillsides into healthy woodland, where wildlife such as red squirrel, black grouse, capercaillie and wood ants can live happily and peacefully.

Once the trees reach seed-bearing age, natural regeneration will go on to create the wild forests of the future for generations to enjoy.

We know that wood is a durable and valuable resource for humans but it also provides homes for wildlife, which is why it’s incredibly important we do all we can to help preserve and create habitats where animals, both large and small, can survive.

The RPS team is looking forward to seeing our saplings grow and we are aiming to add more trees to the grove in the future.
