UK fuel price increases

Petrol prices in the UK have shot up £0.05 a litre over the last month which is the third price surge in less than a year. The rise in price for unleaded petrol has increased by £0.058 to £1.379 per litre. Likewise, diesel prices have risen to £1.448 per litre from £1.398 per litre.

 

Where have fuel prices fluctuated?

Northern Ireland stood out as the most expensive UK region for both petrol and diesel while the cheapest deal at the pumps is in the Yorkshire and Humberside region.

Northern Ireland recorded the highest price for unleaded petrol at £1.387 per litre. It also recorded the highest diesel price of £1.452 per litre, the same price in both East Anglia and the South East.

The cheapest unleaded petrol price was recorded in the North of the country, typically in Yorkshire and Humberside, at £1.376 per litre. The diesel price in the same region was the lowest in the country at £1.442 per litre.
