A Joint Business Development Plan has been signed between Unilever and DHL to develop a supply chain designed to deliver their strategic business plans.
As part of Unilever’s “Partner to Win” programme this strategic partnership will help Unilever to work more closely with its key suppliers. The focus of the initiative is to help increase speed and efficiencies to market, encourage cost reduction and provide sustainable practices. These initiatives will also help improve carbon efficiency and reducing waste within global logistics operations.
Unilever’s Chief Supply Chain Officer, Pier Luigi Sigismondi, said: “For Unilever it is essential that we work closely together with our strategic suppliers to reach our ambition to double the size of the company and halve our environmental impact." He added, " DHL and Unilever have worked together for many years now and both organisations share the same values, passion and goals.”
