A nationwide search has begun for the best video produced by young people that demonstrates improved recycling of drinks cans. The competition has been launched jointly by the British Film Industry and Can Makers, the umbrella group that represents can manufacturers.
Can Makers chairman, Geoff Courtney, has commented: “This competition aims to increase recycling and raise awareness of the versatility of the can by inspiring students to educate themselves and their peers on the benefits of recycling.”
With £1,500 prize money up for grabs, there is a great incentive to understand the advantages of recycling and also promote continued recycling to a new generation. British actor Danny Dyer will form part of the judging panel which is due to close on 28th February 2013.
