RPS collects all types of pallet nationwide, no matter what shape or size. The pallets we collect are inspected, repaired and made available for reuse - it's that simple. Managing pallet disposal can take a lot of time and effort so that's why we're here, to take the hassle away. In the last 12 months we have collected over 1 million pallets , and in this blog post, we will take you through the process that we use to sort and repair your pallets.

Step 1: Collection

We collect pallets from a variety of sources, including manufacturers, distributors, and retailers, from all over the UK. By law, a used and unwanted pallet is waste. Our collections are performed with the correct waste transfer paperwork, permits and licences. We are also ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accredited to ensure full compliance.

We take care to ensure that the pallets collected are in good condition and suitable for reuse or recycling. For information about the different types of collection, please visit www.rpsltd.com/what-we-do/pallet-collections.

Step 2: Sorting

Once the pallets have been collected, they are returned to our purpose-built headquarters where they are inspected and sorted according to their size, material, and condition by our dedicated and well-trained team of sorters. Pallets that are deemed unsuitable for reuse are separated and put through our state-of-the-art shredder. The woodchip will then be sent for recycling or energy recovery resulting in zero waste.

Step 3: Repair

Pallets that are in need of repair are sent to our team of skilled repairers. The repair process involves replacing broken or damaged boards, reinforcing weak spots, and replacing missing components. We use high-quality materials and techniques to ensure that the pallets we repair are safe and durable.

Step 4: Quality Control

Once the pallets have been repaired, they undergo a rigorous quality control process. We check the pallets for any defects or weaknesses to ensure that they are safe for use.

Step 5: Reuse

Pallets that have been repaired and have passed our quality control process are then ready for reuse. Our commitment to sustainability means that we are always looking for ways to reduce waste and promote reuse. Our customers can be assured that the pallets they receive from us are safe, durable, and suitable for their specific needs.
