The RPS team is getting bigger – and it’s not from our lockdown diets!
Since August, we’ve taken on four new employees and one apprentice, thanks to the growing demand for our services.
During the coronavirus pandemic, we’ve been offering a free pallet collection service to construction companies in the DL and TS postcodes. This means we need more operational staff to meet the rising number of collections we’re making.
Three of the four new team members will be working as warehouse operatives, while the fourth is a new HGV driver, who operates one of our 18te vehicles for local pallet collections and deliveries.
To top it off, we’ve added an Accounts Assistant apprentice to the team, who will work primarily in the Finance department and also help with other general office admin responsibilities.
The new appointments are just the latest part of a fantastic year for RPS. Not only is demand for our pallet collection and supply services increasing, we moved into our new Eaglescliffe HQ in April and we have been developing our warehouse processes effectively for maximum productivity.
To continue meeting and exceeding our clients’ expectations, we have spent a lot of time making sure we have the right people in the right roles every step of the way.
We have set up a customer service department, restructured the business development team and continued to create a strong operational team to handle the increased volume of pallets we collect and deliver.
All in all, 2020 has been a pretty good year for RPS, and we’re looking forward to what comes next.
