In March 2010 timcon reported the rocketing price of timber, having repercussions on increased new pallet prices to cover manufacturer's costs. As timber attributes to up to 75% of the overall new pallet price RPS have strived to keep any new pallet costs to a minimum for its customers. During October, as part of ongoing negotiations with suppliers, RPS was able to reduce the price of one of its most popular specification pallets by 20pence per unit. In turn this saving has been passed onto RPS customers to help reduce their overall packaging spend.
