Beginning on the 2nd August, HSE have opened a 12 week consultation period on how to simplify and clarify the report requirements for Reporting of Injuries, Disease and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (as amended) (RIDDOR ’95).
In order to help businesses understand their requirements to comply with health and safety law, following recommendations by Professor L öfstedt’s independent review of health and safety legislation, HSE have launched the public consultation which will end on the 28th October 2012. The proposal will also establish if RIDDOR is the best approach to reporting workplace accidents by seeking to implement changes recommended in the Goverment’s 2012 report, ‘Common Sense, Common Safety’.
