CONSTRUCTION

Millions of pallets are widely used in the construction industry, primarily by suppliers delivering goods on pallets to construction sites. Many of these pallets cannot be reused so they are usually disposed of in a skip. Pallets without a reuse option are considered scrap and can be collected on a HGV at an agreed cost. This is considerably cheaper than disposing of pallets in wood skips as more pallets can be collected in one go on a vehicle. The pallets collected can then be sorted for reuse, shredded and sent for recycling or used for energy recovery.

RPS will take the hassle out of pallets for your business by collecting all pallet types. With national collection capability, RPS manages the entire process saving you time and effort and above all providing a cost effective and environmental service. RPS has already measurably improved pallet management for many UK construction companies, reducing costs and providing a more sustainable recycling option.

In addition, there are no hidden costs. RPS charges a set fee for a collection and does not charge retrospectively for any scrap pallets handled. This allows you to budget effectively when it comes to managing waste pallets.

Where possible, RPS will save pallets from the shredder and send them for reuse. This could contribute to improving BREEAM ratings as part of a construction waste management plan.

RPS performs all collections responsibly using waste transfer notes. We also hold all the correct duty of care permits, licences and insurances to handle waste. Our online audit pack includes all the necessary credentials including our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations.
