Back in April, we announced that we are moving pallet HQ to a new site in Eaglescliffe.
The construction of our new site is well under way now. We purchased the five acre plot on Durham Lane Industrial Park in late 2018, and after planning permissions were received in February, we employed Hobson Smith Construction Ltd to commence the works in April.
It’s an incredibly exciting time for RPS as we’re starting to see the elements of the new site being built.
At the moment, the foundations for the warehouse and office building have been put in place.
As you can see from the photos, the larger site will allow us to expand our services to include the shredding of pallets, ready for them to be recycled, giving our customers an all-round service for used wooden pallets.
We are also looking forward to increasing our capability of collections within the construction industry by being able to collect all types of pallets, regardless of their specifications or quality. This is a big deal for us, as we are advocates of reuse over recycling, so the more pallets we can collect and repair for reuse, the better.
We will keep you up to date with the latest goings on at our new site over on Twitter, so make sure to follow us, @RPS_Limited.
