Employee Profile – Jonathan Illingworth

The Team June 13, 2019 10:29 am

This month we are introducing you to our new Site Operations Manager, Jonathan Illingworth.

Jon joined us in April 2019 and oversees the day to day activities on our site. This includes running the warehouse operations team, ensuring that resources are maximized to deliver outstanding levels of service to RPS clients.

Jon drives productivity to make sure all customer requirements are achieved and surpassed. He oversees the implementation of exceptional safety whilst working alongside our external Health and Safety consultants, Chase Risk Management.

He works closely with the Site Supervisor, Ray, to develop and reinforce standard operating procedures, ensuring day to day targets and KPI’s are continually met and exceeded.

With an impressive CV, Jon served in the British Army for 17 years and prides himself in his capability to manage a diverse range of people.

Outside of work, Jon swaps pallets for the great outdoors. He enjoys taking trips on his motorbike, camping and walking with his partner. At the top of his bucket list is to travel around Europe on his motorbike.

Here are some interesting facts about Jon we bet you didn’t know:

  • He is originally from Aldershot but has lived in the North East for 3 years
  • His dream piece of pallet furniture would be a racking system for his motorbike clothing
  • When Jon was a child, he wanted to be a doctor when he grew up. We’re glad he changed his mind!
  • He lived in Tehran in the 1970’s, which is where he went to school. His father worked in Tehran for an American company – part of his role was to service all the weapons for the Shah and the Shahs’ bodyguards.

We hope you enjoyed finding out more about our team. Look out for our next instalment of this feature and if you missed our first couple of profiles, don’t worry because you can always catch-up on them in our Media Centre.
